What We Do
How it works…
At Summit Point Seafood we grow native to Maine species of seafood in a sustainable and Earth conscious way.
We grow oysters, kelp, and mussels from hatchery seed to "market ready" in order to limit the impact of harvesting on our wild populations, and to help keep our coastlines healthy and intact.
We take pride in the fact that the products we grow require zero fertilizers or feed, and in return they filter and clean millions of gallons of water. These products remove countless tons of carbon from our atmosphere, and help reduce the problem of acidification in our oceans… All while providing a safe, and sober, workplace for local women in recovery!
